Shopping trolleys deactivated, Fair Play coffee drank and the Christmas shopping spree that went horribly right 30th November 2002, the first weekend of the x-mas shopping season and Buy Nothing Day got off to an early start. During the small hours of Saturday morning I was threading a chain through the rows of shopping trolleys parked side by side outside the local supermarket. With the chain pad-locked I left the holding bay with the trolleys clamped together inside - deactivated. It's all around and it's happening now. |

What a loser.
The next thing we know, this Trolly-locking thing could catch on
everywhere and spread to other countries too. Shock! horror!
for all of us, that one person, with imagination and guts can and will make a difference. though it might be an idea to let the trolleys know why you chained them up and what a great thing they became a part of!
goodonya sonya
Wake up. She padlocked a bunch of shopping trolleys. All the store did was get more trolleys and then break the lock on the original set. It's laughable.
Note to self: Those BND crusties are gobshites. Buy more stuff on the next BND day.
