Hip Hip! and three cheers for our friends the Marxists in the Socialist Party.

As a result of the recruitment stall in Queens which their man made available for us we managed to sign up 59 new recruits.

They are now in training for a bit of fun over in Iraq. This is the sort of marxism we all could do with more of.

i would recommend that this post be taken down as it is not news, it is already being dealt with on another thread.

also, as far as im aware, the sp said of the 'army' incident, that the member in question made a serious mistake, and any similar mistakes would result in disciplinary actions.

a member of the sp may want to correct me on this.

as for the pat finucane thing. my gawd are you scraping the bottom of the barrel or what? so pat finuance's name is not gonna be on some poxy scholarship or some other bollocks. big fuckin wow!

I'm not going to bother replying to anything put up by left republicans that just slag off the SP. I've made my contribution, members of the SP have set the record straight, nothing more to say.

I am interested in entering into proper debate with others on Indymedia. But this hasn't happened for quite a while. Proper debate is OK, slagginf matches are not.

I agree. This should be taken down immediately. Just because a SP member facilitates a British Army recruitment drive and a SP member aligns with the DUP to block a memorial to Pat Finucane is no reason to have it up here where everyone can see and talk about it. Things like that should be quietly covered up in a grown up way and not discussed on Indymedia. Get rid of it immediately!!

For about the twentieth time members of the Socialist Party have demanded the deletion of articles they disagree with. This is actually quite frightening; what sort of a regime would these people impose if they had the power to decide on what you could read?

Instead of lying & lying & lying the SP should give some answers.

1. Why did it take so long for you to say that your member in QUB would be out of the Party, if he repeated his call for a Brotish Army stall?
Who decided this? Was there an investigation by his Branch? If so, publish the results!

2. How could any rational person say that naming a Bursary after Pat Finucane was sectarian? On what basis did the SP decide to vote with the DUP? Was this decided on by the Belfast Branch?

Pat C, members and supporters of the SP have replied to you and your 'arguments'. But you have not read the replies.

It's clear we have political differences on the national question. We're socialists, you're a naitonalist. That's ok, no problem with debating with nationalists, republicans, unionsits, loyalists etc. but you are just raising the same points over and over again. When dealt with you keep on going.

There is no point continuing a futile 'debate' with some-one refuses to listen to what you have to say.

If you were a member of a party you would not like the internal workings of the party broadcasted on Indymedia. Why should the SP do so.

i've pointed out how the sp have consistently attacked republican socialist postings on indymedia.ie. they have called republican socialists: nationalists, fascists etc.

it seems the SP can slag, but they cant take it in return.

they also have a problem about answering questions.

They have asked you questions about things such as Republicans links with the US which you have not answered. SP members have answered all your questions.

its on the record for everyone to see. i was called a fascist by one of them because i said the protestant working class were slaves to an imperialist ideology. people have been called catholic nationalists etc.

not true. the sp for 2 months attacked virtually every republican posting. they should not be surprised at a response.

its not for me to answer re sf fundraising in the states, but if they can fool capitalists into giving up money, then bully for them. sp members suggested that sf were not anti gulf war because of US fundraising; this was a blatant lie.

Keep up the excellent work Pat, these sp traitors hate the Irish flag and all things Irish, for that reason they will always be a fringe party among Irish workers, this is what they deserve, so let them be their own gravediggers. Even the swp are better than these cretins who resort to questioning the sanity of anyone who has the courage to question their infantile dogmas, at least the SWP are doing a little bit to develop some type of anti globalisation in Ireland, unlike the sp shower.
