Friends, a chairde: Teach Na Failte is a registered charity, which represents the interests of ex-prisoners who at one time or another were associated with the Republican Socialist Movement. Friends, a chairde:

Teach Na Failte is a registered charity, which represents the interests of
ex-prisoners who at one time or another were associated with the Republican
Socialist Movement.

We have established a Memorial Committee with a view to erecting wall
plaques in various parts of Belfast in memory of our Anti H-Block activists
and their comrades who were killed during the dark days of the Hunger
Strike.

This project is an entirely voluntary undertaking by the ex-prisoners
themselves and therefore relies totally on donations from home and abroad.
With the erection of these plaques, we will be repaying a debt to the
lasting memory of the men and women who lost their lives during that heroic
period of republicanism.

Teach Na Failte would be really pleased to hear from anybody who can help
in any way. Anyone who helps with a donation will receive a laminated copy
of a commemoration poster of the hunger strikers themselves. All donations
great or small will be welcome. Cheques should be made payable to:

Well done comrades, as someone who pounded the pavements at that time I congratulate you. The hunger strikers should never be forgotten. Sadly they have been sold out by the current movement leadership.

The name of Bobby Sands is honoured wherever freedom is valued. His socialist republican comrades should be honoured and remembered. And the ideas and ideals for which they died are still relevant. It is laughable to see Irish activists protesting U.S. imperialism when that much older imperialsm, British, is firmly ensconced in Ireland. Their activism is merely foolish, faddish, posturing. Compared to the working class struggle of republican socialists these clowns are merely middleclass playactors.

The victims of paramilitary terror would be far more deserving of donations and "wall-plaques" than any ex-prisoners.

"heroic period of republicanism"
...What was heroic about putting a bomb in a pub/town square, murdering innocent civilians, and then running away?
