Richardsons has closed up after many years, with no warning and no consultations with its workforce, or appropriate redundency packages. Recently foreign IT companies in Carrickfergus have also shut shop, leaving many thousands of its workers, high and dry. These multinational IT companies, come over here, using millions in Governments grants, to set up their factories, paying workers shite wages, they then after a year, milking the system and grants, decide to up and leave, moving their factories to other third world economies, where these companies, pay less overheads, dont have to adhere to health and safety regulations, with unions outlawed and no equal opportunities policies, and get to pay third world workforces, more even shiter slave wages.
