category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday November 06, 2002 22:58author by ipsiphiauthor email ipsiphi23 at email dot com Report this post to the editors

Mr Jeb Bush has secured for the first time a second term for a Republican governor.

Yesterday was the mid-term elections in the USA. there´s a list of sites with interesting material on the election and the issues "to vote not to vote, how to vote, who to vote for, what is a chad?, who is voting? who is counting the votes?" goto http://indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=214895&group=webcast or for the list: http://www.alternet.org/story.html?StoryID=14467

So lots happening in the American world.
if you go to this link you will see a photo of
Bush 1 with his wife Barbara
and
Bush 3.
http://www.nytimes.com/2002/11/06/politics/campaigns/06FLOR.html

I recommend this website they have very carefully collated many Bush facts and wrongdoings since well the first Bush.
So if you´re interested in beating around the Bush do so and use this website for ideas.

or if you´re interested in what else happened yesterday go to
http://ireland.indymedia.org/cgi-bin/newswire.cgi?id=16826
or http://www.infoshop.org
where the daily bleed
offers wonderful background titbits on daily memory.

some of the american taken part in mid-term elections, and the majority of votes counted mean more Republican representation.
The majority of the people of the U.S.A. did not vote for Republicans, they voted for the Democrats and all the other American parties, including the Greens and Socialists. And a significant proportion of U.S. people didn´t vote.
I pointed out on the fifth of Novemeber that a socialist candidate contested U.S. elections between 1912 and 1930. Many others have done all through history, the Green party has been thought to have siphoned off support from the Democrats such as Perot did to the Reupblicans.

The final countdown between Republicans and Democrats between the donkey and the elephant always brings simplistic people to wonder why are there two right wing parties.

Now King Mob you´re a simplistic character, as you´ll remember we´ve arranged for a lulls in your place of work before, giving you distractionary time to post your comments on indymedia.
(and you thought that somehow made you one of the Irish illuminati).
Now all that has been proven is that massive local (regionaly raised and foccussed) budgets have allowed the Republicans to outspend the Democrats yet again. The U.S. public appear to be voting for Television, and nothing more.

The Repubican "victory" in the US midterm elections has more to do with the utter failure of the Democrats to offer any type of alternative than it does with popular support for the politics of Dubya. Voter turnout was only around 39%. The Democrats have lined up behind Dubya in support of war on Iraq, massively increased military spending, the slashing of social spending, tax breaks for the rich and attacks on democratic rights. A new mass party of the working class growing out of independent working class struggle is needed.

and I was a bit surprised, it isn´t really one of the best things I´ve ever come out with is it?
Bush 3.
I mean that´s not being used again and again in 21stcentury politcal discourse and I probabply won´t get the crde or kudos.
But I looked at it and saw King Mob!
oh thought I, here starts long commentaries and sillyness, and behold a second King Mob saying the first was a fake King Mob not only just a fake but Pat C. faking King Mob.
Oh dear I´m not sure I have the energy to return to this posting in future. I´ll leave ye to it.

Very few people are aware of the ballot access problem in the United States. Each state writes its own ballot access laws, even for federal office. Since there is no single standard for the whole nation, the public and even the media are ignorant about ballot access laws.

Nothing further to add except that I agree wholeheartedly with the original King Mob (the 1st). I really do hope that the first article was from my very good friend King Mob. Its about time you bleeding heart liberals were kicked off this site. Some of them dumb leftists think that Indymedia is a left wing site. Well to use the old Winston Churchill language thats bollox! If you lazy, no good waste of space lefties bothered your arse to read the disclaimer at the bottom of this page you'll see it says "Indymedia is a collective of independent media organizations and hundreds of journalists offering grassroots, non-corporate coverage. Indymedia is a democratic media outlet for the creation of radical, accurate, and passionate tellings of truth." Got that you dumbells. Not a left wing site! Oh and another thing to annoy you leftie wasters, I like King Mob also supported the Mice Treaty referendum and actively campaigned for a YES vote and I'm absolutely delighted that the large majority of Irish people seen the light this time and did the right thing and voted YES for Nice. Bloody marvellous! Another stab in the back for you stupid leftie, liberal has beens.
