Brainwashed electorate is a not sophisticated one.

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Tuesday October 22, 2002 18:34author by Brainwashed Report this post to the editors

or a mature one

Media pundits have been praising the Irish electorate for being ‘sophisticated’ now that they have done what the media and the owners of the media wanted all along. But most psychologists would find it strange that out of over 400,000 new voters that all but only 5000 of them voted the same way. Even allowing for the fact that many of them would have been FF, FG and Labour supporters who would vote as told without question, this level of obedience and docility is frightening. One would have to look at the fascist media in Hitler’s Germany to account for this type of result in referenda. It proves the case once again for proper funding for both sides in a referendum, the alternative is a conformist, ignorant and uninformed electorate.

perhaps the total spin in the media is closer to the propaganda employed by the Nazi minister for propaganda, whose name escapes me at the moment. We should loudly campaign and petition for equal access and funding for both sides in the next referendum. This would help to expose the propaganda lockdown that we were unable to break out of this time.

This is a very interesting quotation from Nazi leader Hermann Goering which sums up neatly the government's tactics towards Nice and Irish neutrality:-

"Why of course the people don't want war...But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a
simple matter to drag the people along whether it is a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, a parliament or a communist dictatorship.
Voice or no voice the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are
being attacked and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and claim they're exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."
