The National Museum of Ireland presents, for the first time as a collection since 1936, the watercolour paintings of Constance Markievicz. The National Museum of Ireland presents, for the first time as a collection since 1936, the watercolour paintings of Constance Markievicz. Painted whilst she was a Prisoner of War in Holloway Gaol, these pictures illustrate ideas of the Celtic Revival, Irish Republicanism and a rommanticized Irish way of life. Finland has a population of about 5 million people and borders Russia.
It is a neutral state.
One of the eight neutral states in Europe.

Countess Markievicz was born Constance Bore-Gooth and grew in late 19th century Ireland she married a Polish man. Poland is one of the candidates to join the EU.
She was a socialist revolutionary and a dudette.
She commanded one of the sites of the 1916 rising in Dublin. This was an event which is central to Irish political identity. along with 1913.
1913 a big general strike
1916 in the second year of WW1 some Irish nationalists started a rebellion.
A swimming pool was named after her.
Many Irish people today think her memory deserves more.
