Where did the pigs on horseback come from - thought they only had those in Dublin?
Surely they didn't cart them all the way from Dublin for the day??

Yes, they came all the way from Dublin along with the dogs. Incidentally the dogs were more interested in fighting one another than going for the crowd.

The dogs were obviously meant to be intimidating but they ended up being pretty funny. They most liked to have a go at the other dogs but were quite willing to have a go at a cop when one was in range. Otherwise a bite at their handler seemed quite popular. I wonder if the dogs like the horses were bought off the brits?

For those who don't know a couple of years ago the Gardai bought 6 horses off the Met. Of these horses 4 were too old or mad to be used so they only have the two now.

Can the IAWM please answer the simple question why were ye against a democratic debate, with the rest of us about tactics, before the march?

Such a mass meeting could have pre-empted the bad feeling and division that occured on Saturday.

Let us not have this nonsense happen again.

what right would airport "police/firefighters" have to use water cannon against protesters? this would appear to go beyond reasonable force.

also these airport personnel are not gardai & are members of siptu. leading members of siptu have spoken from iawm platforms.

how about the iawm & other groups complaining to siptu about the behaviour of the airport personnel.(it would be best if specific cases of harrassment were illustrated) it could be pointed out that they are going way beyond performing their duties. in particular the water cannons should be reffered to.

Aw Pat please, what on earth purpose would be served by writing to Geraghty, one of the stickies who sold out a long time ago. Incidentally, the animals been used by the state forces are totally innocent, they too are been abused by Bertie and co.
