I see the SIPTU banner proclaims that the union is proud of the past. Well since their present isn't much to be proud of - support for Nice. Craving support for 'partnership' and afraid to go on strike in case they'd upset the apple cart.

Doesn´t he look a bit like
the big man = Micheal Collins.

Now not many people know the big man
Micheal Collins was a bit of a
RECLAIM THE STREETS! activist.

he didn´t drive and often was seen cycling around Dublin "right in front of the British spies and Dublin Castle´s faces!!!!!"
He wore glasses without any glass!!!
which shows he loved an old joke.

Now of course the man above isn´t Michael Collins but he probably holds firm opinions on the
big man.
So probably do all the people not in the photograph who are "listening" to him.
They may be thinking for themselves.

They are probably speaking to each other and having a great time, though naturally the
Rt. Hon J. Tweedle-dum-hmm is saying nothing, he is just carrying his back pack waiting for the moment to transmogrify himself into a womble.
Because face it Rt. Hon. J. Tweedele-dumb-hmm is no bolshevik is he?
We in Reclaim the Streets! love photographs of
20th century style leaders.
We recommend putting them on street corners and on postage stamps and stuff.

what are you saying mate? please put it in plain English (or Irish).

If you are trying to have a go at Joe Higgins for being 'the leader' of the SP, you're barking up the wrong tree there. There is not leader of the SP. Although there is a leadership accountable to the membership, which Joe Higgins is a part of.

Joe Higgins is a long standing campaigner for ordinary people, as are many in the SP and in other left parties. Having a go is a bit silly of you to say the least

to upload a photograph of a speaker at a demonstration between columns in such a pose is to invoke (perhaps unwittingly) a certain visual culture.
Since we have been uploading photographs of "ordinary people" [whom since we´ve proved don´t exist because everyone is a zapatista these days appears silly] for ages.
Long before you even had an email address for your frankly 20th century parady of a marxist party.
And what´s more ye can´t take a joke.
Which unfortuanately is why when on the sad and rare occasion that your ilk gain any real power one of the first things you do is "take vengance" on those who only serve to "fellow travel" your revolution.

Thankfully humanity has learnt about your erronous and dogmatic approach to ostensibly true analysis.

Capital and Property are the root causes of global misery but centralised economies don´t solve that misery.

and that includes you, be that man photographed in a "political leader= demagogue" pose a good man or a bad, the use of the image detracts from anything positive he might have had to say.

obviously you're going through your 'mad' phase in college, what are you studying? Arts?
Of course the arrogant little twat is much better than everyone else who don't understand anything at all. After all muppet boy through a street party. Whats boring crap like water and bin charges and nice refurendums compared to that? I went to oneof the RTS fundraisers and found it extremely unfriendly and stuck up, just trendies doing what trendy people do - for this week at least. Yeah we're all marcos thats safely far away.
