Record Labels Request Online Sabotage Rights

Record Labels Request Online Sabotage Rights
(NewsFactor) - Record labels have requested legal support for a variety of techniques intended to thwart file-trading networks that they say infringe on copyrights. During arguments over a congressional bill supporting such techniques, industry representatives said such measures are necessary in an online environment that resists existing legal tactics. The proposed bill is the first congressional attempt to provide copyright holders with methods other than litigation to combat what they see as piracy. More...

The patent system which covers
everything from ideas, intellectual property to music to drugs has caused real suffering o billions.
African nations can not afford to buy patent rihts to produce essential drugs.
Property when extended to the intangible is ridiculous.
Now we have a global situation where even living organisms are considered property of muli-national-corporations.
You may listen to burnt CDs or pirate tapes, but think of those who need medicines.
Think of the discovery of penicillen.
No-one can ever be credited with "first" thinking of an idea or concept.
People make the connections.
END PATENTS ON BIO-ORGANISMS
END LIFE PATENTS
FREE THE MEDICINES
FIGHT GREED
which is protected by immoral laws.

yes I agree with all of the above statements, there is a need to challenge and break so called 'intellectual' property rights. It is great to see millions in the majority world countries doing this by obtaining generic drugs and also of course the millions of younger people in the exploiter nations who challenge the music and film corporations. We can expect to see more of this healthy disregard for rules, aothority and of course profits as time goes by.

so we see that finally in the 21st century
the core anarchist belief that `property is theft´ has a real message for most.
