Anti-war British lawmaker George Galloway will call for international volunteers to form a human shield in Baghdad to try to thwart any attack after he flies to Iraq on Saturday. http://www.miami.com/mld/miami/news/world/4069422.htm LONDON -- Anti-war British lawmaker George Galloway will call for "One of the ideas will be an international peace brigade of volunteers He expected significant numbers of Britons to come forward. Asked if it would in effect constitute a human shield of people trying He said: "There are many, many millions of British people who are Galloway, who met President Saddam Hussein last month and has tirelessly "It would normally have met in November, but it has been brought forward Galloway said President Bush was intent on war and had used his speech "It is clear that yesterday's performance in New York was simply a ruse "I suspect that while war is never inevitable... it is looking Galloway urged the U.N. Voices In the Wilderness (US) have already got this thing started. If you were at Denis Halliday's talk yesterday in Dublin you may have met some of the people who are heading over with Voices to Iraq. Visit their website, support them if you can (they're looking for people from IRELAND too!!!).
Is there any audio or press release of what Galloway really said. Looks like that Jeremy Lovell is distorting the message.
My interpretation of the article was that Galloway was looking for 'witnesses to what may well be about to happen' in Iraq and that Jeremy Lovell of Reuters brought up the issue of 'Human Shields.'
