"Stop the Mox Shipments" is the message that will be carried loud and clear by boats big and small that set sail today to meet the Pacific Pintail and the Pacific Teal, each carring a cask of Plutonium mixed oxide, more commonly known as MOX. Five boats have left from Arklow this am and more will leave from Dublin later in the day. other boats will leave from ports in Wales. All boats will meet in hollyhead tomorrow (Fri) morning to co-ordinate. On the landward side protestors from Ireland will also make their voices heard outside the gates of the Sellafield plant.. Greenpeace have a spotter plane tracking the shipment so there should be no problem finding it although who knows what BNFL might do to avoid such negative media atention. A recent survey showed that 72 of British people prefered government subsidies to go to wind rather than nuclear energy. |

40 people went over last weekend to do an awareness demo in Barrow to let the people of Barrow know what exactly was coming to town. They spoke to hundreds of people about it and got a great responce with lots of local kids running around with no nuke signs painted on their faces:-)
