God grant me the serenity to accept The things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.

The wisdom to tell the difference between sites where this is appropriate, and sites (like this) where it is spam?

i have no desire to see imc being overrun by religious zealots; but i really can't see how articles about religion are in breach of editorial guidelines.

the one above is spam, its not original, its been around for along time.

but if an original article is written that is a "passionate telling of the truth", should it be deleted?

if so then why should any of us here have the right to publish articles from an agnostic or atheistic point of view.

"passionate telling of the truth" is in the eye of the beholder.

I agree, its kind of a gray area. On the other hand, if you look at the link for the newswire on the left of the screen, its subtitled 'coverage of Irish life, politics and protest'. And the definition of news is
Information about recent events or happenings, especially as reported by newspapers, periodicals, radio, or television.
A presentation of such information, as in a newspaper or on a newscast.

I think that pretty much rules out an analysis of the book of Job, or comparisons between the Koran and the Talmud, just as much as it rules out a review of My Idea of Fun, or a comparison of Spiderman and X-Men.
