Calling all Meditators and Ex-Meditators

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Monday September 02, 2002 17:57author by Raymond McInerney - Global Country of World Peaceauthor email raymond.mcinerney at ul dot ieauthor address 122 Vale Avenue, Carew Park, Limerickauthor phone 087 7750260 Report this post to the editors

Meditate together for increase coherence in national consciousness

There is a major drive in Ireland and around the rest of the world for people to come together in groups on a daily basis (morning and evening) to practice Transcendental Meditation.

The Transcendental Meditation Movement from over a 100 different countries are aiming to increase the amount of people practicing Transcendental Meditation (TM) together in groups.

These groups will generate peace and eliminate acute social stress which fuel all negativities i.e. violence, bigotry etc. and promote more life supporting actions in the nation and around the world.

If you have learnt the TM technique, evening if you still don’t practice. The TM Movement is encouraging you to start practicing in groups on a regular basis. Even groups as small as 3 to 4 meditators will have a profound positive influence on national consciousness. Even if one can’t manage to meditate in a group, it will be still beneficial to practice regularly, morning and evening for oneself and for the nation.

If anybody knows somebody that has learnt TM, please inform them of the TM Movements plan to create large groups of meditators around the country.

The following link gives the names of TM teachers throughout Ireland who will give details of any existing groups of meditators in their region. In addition the TM Movement would be like to know if anybody is interested in having such groups in their homes or place of business.

Over 40,000 people have learnt the TM technique. This accounts to about 1% of the general population of Ireland, the amount required to create coherence in national consciousness. Less numbers are required to create coherence if TM is practiced in groups.

In addition, to the creation of large numbers of groups around the world. A large group of 40,000 Yogic Flyers is to be set up in India. The coherence generated from this group will amplify the effects the smaller groups will have in their region and nation.

Scientific research has shown that TM has a strong positive effect on society when practice in groups. .
