MOX is POX

Join our merry motley crew

A carnival of fools going to laugh at BNFLs continued folly. Come join us

Join our merry motley crew, a carnival of fools to laugh at B.N.F.L.'S continued folly. a peaceful protest and parade to meet a flotila of ships
which will be protesting against the return of the mox fule shipment from Japan.
Planned is a colourful carnival, a public awarness event to highlight our
conserns in a friendly and non threathning way to grenerate discussion
and highlight issues amoungst the local community, the very people who face this nightmare on a daily basis.
We cannot arrive in cumbria and tell these people to give up their livelihood, we must make people understand how dangerous this is, that we are not trying to destroy the local economy but hopefuly help provide them with a better one that will not cost them their health and enviroment........
This is direct action, positive action to grenerate debate, to increase awarness and begin the process of change towards a safer future for all.

"think global, act local"
"educate, agitate, organise, get off your arse and make some noise"

Buses will be leaving Ireland on the afternoon of the 6th of September, travelling to Barrow for the action on the 7th and returning on Sunday the 8th. There will also be an action camp taking place during this weekend and the following week for those who wish to stay on to meet the MOX ships should they further delay their arrival through the Irish Sea. Further buses from/to Ireland can be arranged as the date of the MOX shipment and protest flotilla become clear.

Bring your colorful concerned self, your friends and your drums. It’s going to be deadly craic and deadly serious, but if they’re allowed to go on as before, then it’ll just be deadly.

Ideas, organisers, musicans, jugglers, artists and lunatics are all required, send your support and your messages for the people of Cumbria but most importantly bring yourself.

As part of the action in barrow, I'm hoping to put togethor a selection of audio and video loops to run near an info stand. personal testimonies, sound bites, interesting sounds and images relating to sellafield and nuclear issues would be very useful.

anyone interested in compiling loops from material they have or providing source material for other to work with should get in touch.

this like other actions requires a lot of energy and ideas so get involved, maybe use this comments section for posting ideas or send your details if you'd be interested in being a contact person for a bus from your area.
