Jump To Comment: 1RTE gave some coverage to the event but what they fail to mention is that the council intend to run a mains sewer up the road to the interpretative centre rather than using a septic tank.
That might seem harmless and innocent enough but what it means in practice is that it opens up the entire mountain to housing development and I hear that large tracts of the land around were bought up during the recession at low prices by people interested in getting it rezoned for exclusive housing.
And if it happens on that hill then it becomes impossible to stop it on all the other ones.
Also not reported was the call to create a National Park across the Dublin mountains and preserve this area for access by the public instead of the real plan to divy it up amongst the elite to make a fortune out of it.
