On Sunday 13 March we join with Reclaim the Vision of 1916 and SIPTU for a historic first screening together of George Morrison’s Mise Éire and Saoirse?—as the director intended.

George, who is the patron of our club, has agreed to be present and will receive a presentation to honour his contribution to the world of cinema. Peadar Ó Riada, son of the legendary Seán Ó Riada, will reprise some of the music written by his father for the films.

The event will take place in the presence of the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins.
It would be advisable to book as soon as possible, particularly as a previous George Morrison event this year was completely booked out. Tickets can be booked for €10 at http://www.ctb.ie/tickets/ctb.

We have recently received another of th e limited prints of James Larkin by the renowned artist Robert Ballagh. This is one of a limited print run of a hundred, and the price is €200 (unframed) or €300 (framed). All proceeds go to the the Progressive Film Club. If you are interested in purchasing this print, e-mail [email protected].
