Foreign Secretary David Lammy set out "the future of the U.K.'s foreign policy" this week. It's an abysmal vision, says Dr. David McGrogan, but it gives hope that the edifice of 'progressive realism' will soon collapse.

LearnIrish.com launches on crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo, in a bid to raise $7000 in just 25 days in order to develop an affordable and comprehensive online Irish language course.

The Irish language is recognised as being one of the oldest written languages in the world but is classified by Unesco as being 'definitely endangered'. On average, a language dies every fortnight and it's predicted that half of the world's 7000 languages will die out within the next 100 years. LearnIrish.com aims to help make the Irish language and learning resources accessible to more people around the world.

If funded, LearnIrish.com hopes to deliver a comprehensive Irish language course complete with games and quizzes to monitor progress. They've set a goal of $7000 and have just 25 days to raise it.

Funding options start at just $10 for 12 months' access (or $8 if you're early). The develeper, Peter Stranney, has been learning Irish for over 7 years and recognises the difficulty faced by people who want to further their knowledge of the language. His aim is to develop a online course which is easy to use and with a clear route for progression. He has native Irish speakers lined up to help with the development of the course but just needs the funding to make it possible. He'll face an uphill struggle raising the monies in just 25 days and another battle to deliver the course but he's no stranger to hard work.

Check out the campaign on indiegogo, bag yourself an early Christmas present and help make it happen for LearnIrish.com;
