Britain?s leading scientific journal, Nature, has published an article declaring that public health "has not been politicised nearly enough" and must therefore be "aggressively" politicised. Yes, you read that right.

An Australian energy safety regulator has switched off five solar farms due to concerns over bushfire risks caused by uncontrolled vegetation. And with China's domination of the market that's not the only worry.

When rapists are Right-wing we, rightly, hear all about their crimes. But not so much when they're Left-Wing, says Steven Tucker. Which is probably why you've never heard of the alleged crimes of this gay rights activist.

People’s Movement Protest: ‘They told us lies then – what’s different now?’

category dublin | eu | event notice author Monday May 14, 2012 17:41author by People's Movement Report this post to the editors

The People’s Movement is organising a protest at IBEC’s conference in The Westin Hotel, Westmoreland St, on Wednesday, May 16th at 5:30pm.

During the Lisbon Treaty campaign IBEC promised ‘Yes For Jobs’, they lied. Now they claim a yes vote will ‘secure Ireland’s future' – once again they are lying!

Come down and support the protest.

All welcome.

Some readers may be interested to know that an effort has been made to (among other things) draw attention to the "derivatives weapons of financial mass destruction" issue -- which, very stupidly (in my opinion), almost NOBODY wishes to face up to, and take account of, at the present time it appears -- to Mr Danny McCoy, Director General of Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC): using the following e-mail excerpt sent to him on May 12th 2012 ...

"The sooner this 'borrowing' madness ends, the better I would like it: particularly the 'borrowing' which is being used to pay off the bankers derivatives gambling debts (thought to be in the region of 1,000 trillion Euros the last time I looked): irresponsible payments by our Government (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial) which are fuelling yet more of the same kind of irresponsible gambling."
