Tipperary Hurling team lose AllIreland semi final due to lack of training. This is seen in the pic which shows that their star players have let himself go!

I am going to give unconditional support in the All-Ireland final to Clare.

If Clare win it win represent a blow against D.J Carey and his professionalisation agenda.

Victory to the Clare Team in September as a step towards the full democraticisation of the GAA!

there really are some idiots on indymedia but u west brit scum are the worst.

you are so crazed with hatred for all things irish that you even have to attack postings regarding the gaa.

because the palestinian flag is flown in republican areas of the occupied six counties you extend your hatred to the palestinian people.

armed zionist settlers are not civilians.

your attempt at humour fails sadly; stick to the daytime job. better still, get a new job.

go home to britland; your queen has an opening for keeper of the corgis.

I'm sick of SF trying to hijack the GAA and the Irish language. What makes SF think they own Irish culture, a vast majority of Irish people distrust and hate SF and the IRA.

Stop sectarianising the GAA - It is a sport that people enjoy playing and watching.

Stop sectarianising the Irish language - It is a language that people communicate with.

Why can't Protestants play GAA or speak Irish?

Protestants do play GAA sports. A recent past president of the GAA is Jack Boothman who is a Protestant.

Protestants are also into the Irish language. Trevor Sargeant is a fluent Irish speaker & is C of I. In the north both of the McGimpsey brothers (UUP) are Irish Speakers.

Sylvia Hermon MP (UUP) has raised concern at Westminster recently because the Languages Bill 2002 mentions Welsh & Scottish but doesn't mention Gaeilge.

What you fail to grasp is that someone who objections to the glorfication of a relic which adds status to the GAA is instantly a West Brit.

Y'know what Pat you whingy little bitch? You're a fascist you'll argue to quash the free speech of anyone who disagrees with your world view,

You're an ignorant dull little shit of a man now fuck off and die........

all you lot can come out with is vitriolic & abuse. rational argument is something you are totally incapable of.

none of the westbrits i've tangled with seem to write any articles or make original postins themselves. i can give as good as i get in the abuse stakes, but i also contribute articles to indymedia.

why are you so afraid of anything relating to irish culture. if you have such an inferiority complex then you would be better off in britland where you could be a loyal subject of your queen.

Protestants do not play GAA in the North. You may get some individual cases, but on the whole in the north (where religion is an issue) Protestant do not play GAA. This is because the sport has been sectarianised by nationalists in the GAA and by political parties. I know Protestant in the north that have never been to GAA games because they would feel uncomfortable at them.

Religion is not an issue in the SOuth on the whole, so the fact that Boothman was a Protestant is not an issue really. I didn't even know that Trevor Sargaent was a protestant, I don't really care I suppose.

The same goes for the Irish language, there is no desire among working class protestants to learn Irish. You will get some interest from some unionists of course but like GAA on the whole the Irish language in the north has been sectarianised. To deny this you are putting your head in the sand.
