Connolly Soviet Comedy Club

After the very successful opening of Connolly Soviet's Left Wing \ Alternative stand up comedy night, in June, we will be holding the event again on the last friday of July, the 29th of July, at Seomra Spraoi, 10 Belvedere Court, Dublin 1 (next to Mountjoy Square).


The evening will consist of stand up comedy with a Socialist theme, and will be a mixture of open mic and invited comedians. The venue doesn't have an alcohol licence, so its bring your own booze (which should keep costs down.) Cead isteach 10 euro or 7 with a flyer. Anyone who would like to do a short set, or just tell a few jokes, or just wants more info, please call 087 2125068. Contributions in Irish or English are welcome. The evening kicks off at 9.00

For some reason i can't seem to post new events on the events calendar.  But just to let anyone who can still access this page that the August comedy club is going ahead as planned on 26th August at the Seomra Spraoi.  Kicks off 9.00pm.  Bring your own alcohol.


This month's event will be run as a benefit night for the Free Brendan Lillis Campaign.  5 Euro on the door, suggested donation as usual.  All proceeds to go the Free Brendan Lillis Campaign.  The night will open with a mix of pre-arranged comedians and open mic for anyone brave enough to try.  There will be Irish Republican music to finish off the evening. 


Seomra Spraoi are facilitating the event on humanitarian grounds.
