After many days fighting a lone battle to defend the education system. Classroom assistants took the magnanamous step to suspend their highly successful strike action to allow management to finally engage in meaningful negotiations. If anyone took this to be a climb down or retreat they were very much mistaken. As the negotiations reach a critical stage the message is loud and clear. "Settle this now or face more of the same" NIPSA's classroom assistant's call on every decent trade unionist to show solidarity with them in their time of struggle. They are fighting not only to maintain but to improve the standard of education for all children in this provence.
