The only thing preventing Israeli officials from jumping up and down with glee, according Aluf Benn of the daily Haaretz newspaper, was the fear that "demonstrated Israeli enthusiasm for the draft could influence support among Security Council members, who could demand a change in wording that may adversely affect Israel." So no celebration parties till the resolution is passed.

Google yesterday announced that they are now offering a warning to their browser users if they are about to access a site associated with spyware, malware or malicious advertising who have been reported to the organisation "stopbadware".

European German speakers appear to be leading the way in combatting internet addiction. The Swiss canton of Zurich has just joined with some of the German states and one Austrian province to draw up plans to combat "cyber addiction".

The Swiss estimate at least 3% of surfers in their country suffer from "excessive" internet use. This was the front page of Scotland’s Sunday Herald on 30th July 2006.

The Irish Government propaganda machine would have the Scottish population believe that no US military flights are allowed through Irish airports.

“Dermot Ahern, the Irish foreign affairs minister, said he would block any attempt by the US to transport arms to Israel through his county.”
