ALLIANCE FOR CHOICE
CALLS ‘D’ CASE
A TRAGEDY WAITING TO HAPPEN

It was only a matter of time before another distressed young woman was forced to remind the Irish people of the disgraceful situation facing women in crisis pregnancies in this country. The HSE’s refusal to permit a young woman in their custody to terminate her non-viable pregnancy is consistent with the hypocrisy exhibited by successive Irish governments who have refused to deal with the issue. It is truly outrageous that this vulnerable young woman should be further traumatised by having to ask the courts for the right to terminate a pregnancy that can, at best, result in the birth of a child with no possibility of life. read full story / add a comment

I always had an interest in Irish History and many summers ago I spent time travelling around Ireland viewing old graveyards. I recall being below in West Cork and old farmer brought me to view three unmarked graves on his land. They were three old IRA men shot by the Tans in 1921. The farmer had written their names on three pieces of wood.

I walked through Letterfrack and I wondered if the rumours were true of the unmarked graves of little children. These children most likely died violently at the hands of Church and State. Some old men in small towns told me that if the secrets were unfolded, that Ireland was awash with babies left in bogs, and lakes. He said they not only drowned pups at that time, they drowned little children too. That men spoke to me in West Mayo.

This could shake up the election a little. What kind of people work for the HSE? They think they can prevent women from travelling and that they can use the Gardai to enforce their whims.

It has come to our attention that Caleb McCarry, appointed by George
Bush as °transition co-ordinator" for Cuba, will be speaking in Dublin
on Monday next, 30 April, at 1:30 p.m. in the National University of
Ireland, Dublin (Belfield).

This individual should be confronted head on, and the Irish
academics who invited him also need to be made aware that they are giving a platform to a person who wishes to install a puppet government in Cuba.
