Dublin Shell to Sea Activists will be collecting and leafleting in the area around Croke Park before the football All-Ireland match on Sunday September 25th.

We're meeting in front of the Ulster Bank across the road from the Big Tree at 12Noon. T-shirts, collecting tins, and leaflets will be provided.

Please come along and help raise money and awareness for this important campaign. We're expecting massive support from the Tyrone and Kerry supporters and we'll be finished long before the match starts, so you'll still get to watch the game. read full story / add a comment

A brief interview that discusses the provision of prosecution witnesses by the oil companies to the Nigerian state, leading to the execution of Ken Saro Wiwa (Ken Wiwa is his son). dublin / housing / event notice Tuesday September 20, 2005 16:29 by Dave
Antoinette will speak at a public meeting on next Thursday 22nd in the Portview hotel in Dun Laoghaire at 8pm. She will speak alongside Margaret Watson, who was housed by the council in June after two weeks on a similiar protest. Richard Boyd Barrett from the SWP, who are supporting and assisting Antoinettes campaign, and the TD's CIaran Cuffe of the Green Party and Eamonm Gilmore of Labour, who have both been vocal in highlighting the housing crisis.
You can support Antoinette by dropping by the picket line anytime for a chat and to keep her company. The council, fearful of an avalanche of similiar protests, are taking a very hard line on Antoinettes case, refusing at tthis point to even meet with her and her supporters; so the protest may go on for some time to come and Antoinette would appreciate any and all support people and organisations can give to her. For further info, or to arrange interviews etc, you can call Colman on 0877583908 or Chris on 0851555224 read full story / add a comment

Just in case you thought there was anything even vaguely radical about the Labour Party, heres what todays Irish Times reported on Fat Pats view on increasing tax on Fat Cats:

"He also ruled out increasing the 12.5 per cent Corporation Tax rate, saying Fine Gael and Labour had settled on this policy in the first place."
