offsite link Dictator Trump? That?s Just Silly Wed Feb 26, 2025 19:05 | Dr James Allan
Calling Trump a dictator is just silly, says Prof James Allan. Yes, he's bombastic. But he's been elected to secure the border and drain the swamp. And he is the President, in whom all executive authority resides.

On the 6th of july the EU parliament rejected software patents, another step in the struggle for ideas & information.

It wasn't reported (by me) as it that time the G8 seemed more important, and the Irish MEP votes on this issue which effects all europeans and all users of indymedia were already long decided on "party political ground".

In the end 14 votes were cast in favour, 648 against and 18 abstentions. read full story / add a comment

Ex student activists from the late 1980's might remember the name of TCD student and general trouble maker Andrew Black. Well tonight he is on the last table of the Los Vegas 'World Poker Series' with some 8 million dollars in chips sitting in front of him. Cynically using the sense of grief and determination to face down the bombers, Blair has rushed in to argue that the ‘Iraq war had nothing to do with the events of 7/7’. Ken Livingstone and eminent ‘Islamic scholars’ in The Independent all agree with Blair’s arguments. However, this was not the view of the government’s own Joint Intelligence Committee.. read full story / add a comment
