Today, Irish government cuts to supplementary welfare allowance kick in.

This will detrimentally effect the already marginalised in society, people who are unemployed, single parents..... and immigrants.

After not recieving any sensible answers from the Dept. of Social & Family Affairs, as to WHY the cuts are being introduced,

The government has cut in childcare schemes and causes many students not to be able to take up places in Further Education. Youthreach & Traveller Training Centres, & causes others to drop out. It also puts huge pressure on creches which depend on the students to operate & have been set up for these students. Some creches in CDVEC can still not open due to lack of funds. It has taken many years of effort to get the childcare provision we have now, we cannot afford to let it slip away. The protest against these cuts takes place outside Dublin Castle at 1pm on Tuesday 3rd Feb read full story / add a comment

new East constituency. As a Party member and its Deputy Leader I am very proud
to be able to say that. We are extremely fortunate that we have had two such

Meath and both, I have no doubt, with a bright political future. read full story / add a comment
