Hi all, I am sad to report the that ban on fur farming is in serious jeopardy. After weeks of receiving varied reports on the situation of the ban, I got a letter from Minister Coveney's secretary, stating only that the "possibility of a ban on fur farming is being examined" as part of the new Animal Health and Welfare Bill. The bill is already being drafted, and their aim is to have it completed and passed into legislation during the summer. So we have to act fast to ensure that a fur farm ban is included. After all the hard work we put into securing a ban with the Green Party, it is devastating to be practically back at square one just because the government is under new leadership. But we need to put all our energy into this right now - so please join us! read full story / add a comment
