Any electrician knows that Lego bricks are genderless, not 'heteronormative', because each can 'mate' with any other. Perhaps Science Museum staff should study to be electricians and actually make themselves useful.

Any parent can currently withdraw their child from school if they're unhappy. Labour's Schools Bill ends that right for many, giving local authorities a veto. That's why all parents should protest against this state power grab.

Ex student activists from the late 1980's might remember the name of TCD student and general trouble maker Andrew Black. Well tonight he is on the last table of the Los Vegas 'World Poker Series' with some 8 million dollars in chips sitting in front of him. This puts him at a real chance of winning as the table leader is only on 10 million. The prize money if over 2 million but getting to the last table will gurantee him at least 300,000. read full story / add a comment

Cynically using the sense of grief and determination to face down the bombers, Blair has rushed in to argue that the ‘Iraq war had nothing to do with the events of 7/7’. Ken Livingstone and eminent ‘Islamic scholars’ in The Independent all agree with Blair’s arguments. However, this was not the view of the government’s own Joint Intelligence Committee.. read full story / add a comment

Dear friends below I give details of some more of the various initiatives that Street Seen will be involved in, in the months ahead. Also I give an updated version for Indymedia on an article I had written a while back – more especially in relation to the last few days of great weather.

Firstly though a few upcoming initiatives of Street Seen. read full story / add a comment
