The Financial Times says it had no problem editorially with an Amnesty International ad criticising Shell's practices in Nigeria but had to pull it for legal reasons. In case anyone is in any doubt what people in Ireland and beyond are up against when trying to get justice, remember you are not really dealing with the touchy-feely Shell that sponsors local events in Erris but with a well-oiled, well-funded global judicial machine that will stop at nothing to maximise profits.
