In a monstrous abuse of the powers of Government and the courts, the Rossport 5 remain in Jail. The five men from Mayo are now in their sixth week in jail, on foot of an injunction the High Court accorded to Shell ordering them not to obstruct Shell’s work on the pipeline across their lands. Dublin Shell to Sea have called for a Dublin wide blockade of Statoil on Friday the 26th of August. This will coincide with the week of Solidarity in Rossport itself. We are looking for organisations and groups to return to the Statoils we covered last July WSM May 1st have already offered to do Ushers Quay but as we only have 3 people who aren't on holidays or at Grassroots help is ugently needed and appreciated! read full story / add a comment
