éirígí chairperson Brian Leeson has warned Belfast City Council that any attempt to parade British soldiers through the streets of the city
would not go unopposed.

The Council is set to meet on Monday (September 1) to discuss proposals to have a homecoming ceremony for the Royal Irish Regiment when they return from the war in Afghanistan in November.

The Royal Irish Regiment, and their predecessors in the Ulster Defence Regiment, were notorious for terrorising nationalist communities and working hand-in-hand with their colleagues in the unionist death squads. read full story / add a comment

Each class has a maximum of 12 students. The classes are taught in a lively and participative style. The 10-session course focuses on basic survival Latin American Spanish for beginners. All of the classes are geared at beginners, but the speed of progress in each group and the amount of Spanish used in the lessons will be determined by the level you are placed in. A senior Russian military analyst warned yesterday that the U.S. and NATO had used the conflict in Georgia as a dress rehearsal for a future military operation in Iran. Col. Gen Leonid Ivashov, president of the Russian Academy of Geopolitical Studies, speaking at a news conference told the Russian news and information agency , Novosti :
"We are close to a serious conflict - U.S. and NATO preparations on a strategic scale are ongoing. In the operation the West conducted on Georgian soil against Russia - South Ossetians were the victims or hostages of it - we can see a rehearsal for an attack on Iran. read full story / add a comment
