It looks as if we will be able to lead the Catholic Church on a merry dance regarding the 'Rhythm Method'. This method, the only one approved by the Vatican may kill off more embryos than other forms of contraception. Pope Benny will not be well pleased. Extract below; full article at the link.

The punk band Zounds sang 'subvert, subvert' about anarchists/working class people infiltrating the middle class domain of work, to change and subvert it.

MI5/6/Special branch have been doing the same in reverse for decades, placing operatives within working class communities and trade unions in order to destroy and subvert whole communities and organisations.

Many of these operatives like Denis Donaldson etc, have blended into and become established within working class commuities for many decades. read full story / add a comment

The Captive Animals Protection Society (CAPS) has today called on the Department of Agriculture to impound the animals currently traveling with Circus Vegas, the Courtney owned outfit which has hit the headlines again following an incident last night on the M50.

It is believed that the beast wagon carrying the elephants had a blowout as the circus was in transit between Wicklow and Stepaside. This same beast wagon, again carrying the show’s two elephants, was involved in a fatal accident on the Tuam Road in Galway in April when a mother and her daughter were killed when the wagon became detached from the cabin.

One day Bob Dylan poured a bottle of whiskey over his head and walked into a department store pretending to be drunk so that he would get some bad press. He found that being thrust into the role of ‘the conscience of a nation’ encroached on his privacy and interfered with his creativity and he wanted his freedom back.

Those involved in political struggle in the USA placed an onerous responsibility on Dylan, demanding of him his talent, his time, his total commitment.

Regardless of how he later revised his stance, the early songs which shot him to fame were the work of an artist responding to injustice and oppression and the politics of the day. He was heavily influenced by, of course, Woodie Guthrie, but was also open to the songs of Brecht and Weill as well as Irish rebel music. read full story / add a comment

June 4th, 2006 International Day of Solidarity with the Daechuri Villagers

Sunday, June 4th, 2006

In Korea, there will be demonstrations held in solidarity with the villagers of Daechuri and Doduri, who are being evicted to make way for the expansion of US military base, Camp Humphreys.

We are working to organize solidarity vigils around the world on this day.

If you can organize a vigil or demonstration against war and stand in solidarity with the villagers of Daechuri and Doduri on June 4th, please hold one in your area. Rally at the local Korean or US embassy or in front of a local news media outlet. Let them hear your voice!

E-mail us at savePTfarmers[at]yahoo.com and let us know how the vigil went in your area.

Thank you for your support. read full story / add a comment

In the Sunday Independent of May 21st, Gene Kerrigan pointed out that the leaks of the Tribal Secta reports into the health service, which were reported as front page news by the Sunday Independent on several occasions, were misrepresentations of the whole truth. Unfortunately, the editor seems happy to continue the tradition, as evidenced by the front page of the edition in which Kerrigan’s article appeared. read full story / add a comment

Furthermore, theology induces passivity to authority – there is no better method of creating compliance than theology. Who else would quietly accept injustice, various forms of deprivation and huge disparities in the distribution of wealth than those who imagine it is the result of demerit, sin or the will of some God? Many extremely intelligent and capable people become observably handicapped when the subject/spectre of religion rears its illogical, paralysing and fear-inducing head. Never doubt the power that is born of theological indoctrination (child abuse) and the resultant fear that it engenders (usually for life). read full story / add a comment
