We are at a critical moment. Ever more people are coming to the view that Net Zero is a terrible idea. But the Government is clinging to it at all costs. A new film seeks to puncture the groupthink.

offsite link Dictator Trump? That?s Just Silly Wed Feb 26, 2025 19:05 | Dr James Allan
Calling Trump a dictator is just silly, says Prof James Allan. Yes, he's bombastic. But he's been elected to secure the border and drain the swamp. And he is the President, in whom all executive authority resides.

national / miscellaneous / news report Thursday April 03, 2003 17:31 by Karen Fallon   text 6 comments (last - friday april 04, 2003 20:13)
Due to practical issues (stuff being scattered around various parts of Limerick and Dublin after coming out of prison), I am only now, with apologies to Karen, posting this letter she wrote in March. It's timely, however, after the Gardai's display at last night's peaceful sit-down protest, to remember that there is someone still in prison for civil disobedience relating to Shannon, refusing to co-operate with bail conditions on the basis that she does not believe she committed a criminal act. Five TDs and one senator agree, and called for our charges to be dropped at a press conference yesterday, along with those of Mary Kelly. In light of Ed Horgan's case before the high court, Karen's reflections on sections of the Irish constitution are also relevant and timely. - Deirdre. read full story / add a comment

As a supporter of this site I was very disappointed to see people were picketing Barry Andrews office last week. Calling him a war mongerer is out of line as he was the only FF td to put down a Dail motion seeking the Govt not to support the war in Iraq without a 2nd UN resolution. This must be some better targets within FF than Barry and he seems like such a nice young fellow as well. read full story / add a comment

Over three years have passed since the three-day killing spree in the village of El-Kosheh that left 21 Christians murdered, 33 Christians wounded, and 260 Christian homes and businesses destroyed. In a blatant disregard for justice, Egypt’s courts today acquitted 93 of the 96 defendants. The court’s verdict is a grave disappointment for Egypt’s Christian community who remain exasperated by several failed attempts to ensure justice and equity read full story / add a comment

this is a mailing about a stay in limerick prison where i briefly met karen fallon. A military spokesman has confirmed the use of cluster bombs, where a large bomb container scatters hundreds of bomblets over a wide area. The bomblets explode shredding anyone in a radius of hundreds of meters with deadly shrapnel. Worse still the military says only about 5% of the bomblets do not explode, leaving them as a deadly post war legacy which will continue to maim and kill Iraqis for decades. read full story / add a comment

According to the Geneva Convention, any airline that is involved in transporting military equipment or troops is a legitimate target in wartime. This includes individual flights that are not carrying anything dodgy, airline offices, warehouses, etc. NATO used this to justify some of the bombings it carried out in Serbia and Kosovo in 1999. Check out this website for a list of all airlines involved and more legal background. read full story / add a comment

I'm sickened to see these inhumane war mongers sitting so high and mighty. I just stumbled across these pages on the internet that show just how much money is being wasted and their plans for another huge arms business fair in early June. We had their 'spectacular' air shows in Salthill, Galway during last summer as their same helicopters were bombing Jenin Refugee Camp..... read full story / add a comment
