There are two types of Australian today, the pre-Howard traditional Aussie and the Howard infected diseased group of cringing cowards. Take note you gutless wonders. If you think the Howard disease will endure and you’re safe, then think again. Howard’s survival depends on the degree to which the consciousness of the people has been permanently altered. What residual or lasting effects do you think Howard will leave on the consciousness of the people? Almost none, if history is consistent! read full story / add a comment

The french state has banned any public demonstrations, brought in curfews, laws not used since the time ofthe Algerian struggle for independence in the 1950s. These measures will not solve the problems of exclusion, racism and poverty that have led people to riot and take to the streets across France. read full story / add a comment

IRA - North Armagh Brigade

On thursday, 10th november as i watched the evening news i saw a report of a women who informed the viewers of how the MOD came knocking on her door delivering news that her partner had been killedby the Iraqi Resistance forces.

Damn imperialists i thought, they get what they deserve! Further more i thought how would i repond if someone came to my door to inform me that a Comrade had been killed?

The following day i was completely and uterly shocked to read on one of the Celtic e news lists that Martin Conlon had been killed in 'mysterious circumstances on Monday, 6th November.'

I would like to pay a tribute to the late Vol. Martin 'Golfball' Conlon. Golfball was a good friend, a Comrade, unrepentant in every sense of the word, a true Republican. read full story / add a comment

French Minister of the Interior Nicolas Sarkozy has given a clear racist coloration to the state of emergency, which was imposed at midnight on November 8. The following day, he explained to the National Assembly his instructions to the préfets (regional central government officials), whose task it is to carry out the police repression of the suburban youth revolt that has been raging in France’s council estates for over two weeks

“I have told the préfets that foreigners, who are legal or illegal immigrants, who have been indicted, are to be expelled immediately from our territory, including those who have a residence permit,” Sarkozy said. “When one has the honour of possessing a residence permit, the least that you can say is that you won’t get yourself a read full story / add a comment

According to the Dáil Report in The Irish Times on Friday 11 November, the Taoiseach said: “Human Rights Watch went on to say that it was highly unlikely that this type of clandestine activity [i.e. the CIA's extraordinary renditions] would operate out of a major civilian airport.”

On this basis, we are to be reassured that we do not need to search US aircraft landing at Shannon.

In a letter to the Taoiseach, I quote reports from mainstream media sources of CIA aircraft operating its extraordinary abuses out of the following major civilian airports: Bromma (aka Stockholm City Airport), Dulles (Washington), Prestwick (Glasgow), Queen Alia (Amman) and Kastrup (Copenhagen).

If all of these airports have been used and abused, then why not Shannon? read full story / add a comment
