Not sure of the exact details but this morning at about 11am there were four cops at the Leeson st. squat. Seemingly they attempted to break down the front door, something completely out of the ordinary seeing as (a) it's a civil matter and the cops had already stated that they werent going to get involved and (b) its a listed building they they would have had to get permission to damage. Didnt see any people from the council but the cops were talking to two old conservative looking types. They all left pretty soon when people started showing up. Not sure of all the details as I had to leave very quickly. Whatever the case it certainly doesnt bode well for the squatters legal rights being upheld. read full story / add a comment ![]()

I have long noticed that on sundays I have more free time. I like to see my friends if I can, and share a cup of tea or coffee and reflect on how irrelevant we are to the world of the great. If i can i listen to music and I also play it, and I think of poetry, the river of my nation which shall always be flowing into the universe. Today I'm not going to be hysterical nor moved by the flows of emotion I have seen in my home (Spain) as the people have come to their own terms with what happened to us as an extended community. It is time I realised the potential of my own words to disturb, to confuse, and thus to be more _careful_. Writers too often are no more than their readers' prejudices. read full story / add a comment |
