All are agreed, something amazing is happening right here and right now on this beautiful little planet. And, by Christ do we need it!!! A week ago, even in Spain, there wasn’t too much awareness of what was going on with the M-15 movement, but now, only days later and it appears that a bomb has gone off. Last look on the digital map of places participating in the #SPANISHREVOLUTION gave a count of 650 (yes that’s right SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY) places around the planet expressing solidarity with what’s going on here in Spain, or being inspired to bring the revolution to their part of the world. read full story / add a comment

It has been weird being in Dublin security city the past week. It reminds me a lot of
growing up in the police state of Queensland/Australia in the late '70's.

On Thursday, I was stopped and searched by police five times before noon and shaken down by the Special Branch 3 times over the two daze. My poster (photo of Giusepe Conlon...with the words "Remember Giuseppe Conlon and All Victims of Empire") remains in police custody,
confiscated by an Inspector under State Security legislation.

21 May · 12:00 - 17:00
Location: Grand Parade, Cork City Centre

Spain is currently delivering a massive protest in order to demand a true Democracy now! We would like to meet up in the city centre of Cork on Saturday morning to give them our support and spread the word in everywhere.
Please, collaborate if you feel committed with the cause and tell the Spanish Government and the Spanish Parties that we really want a True Democracy instead of the two-party system we have.
There's a system fail...ure and people should be before the markets, speculators, bankers and politicians. Join us and demand the same in Ireland. We have a common cause.

We would need people available to participate with the organization.

Hello there,

I think you might be interested to read about this, and if you support the cause that is moving the whole Spanish people to protest and demand a true democracy, you might want to publish it in your blog and spread the word.

Please have a look at this video to know what´s going on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ55PC-ElSE

This is a post from an English blogger living in Spain: http://blogs.elpais.com/trans-iberian/2011/05/spain-get....html

And here is the manifesto that we are supporting, and also the date and time of the demonstration that we are planning in Dublin (there is another one in Cork as well) https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=202503726457580 (presently 493 attendees on the FB page)

Thank you in advance and I hope you can help us! May our example drives other countries to fight for what is ours, a true democracy, without having to pay for the crisis they have created. read full story / add a comment

After 28 years of operation, Dublin Food Co-op is chronically sick: divorced from its founding principles and acutely dysfunctional. Following a deeply troubling incident in March, this author – until recently one of its most committed volunteers – has found it necessary to part ways.

So, what’s gone wrong with the city’s pioneering consumer wholefood co-operative?
