THOUGHT THIS MIGHT GIVE YE A LAUGH BACK HOME!-

A good way to get used to indymedia is with "Indymedia Bingo" once you can cross off all the squares you should know the site pretty well; finding a chicken liberation article is really easy, which is why you need 3 before you can yell bingo. an American conspiricy article is harder- Hint: it most likely wont be posted as an article, but as a comment on a totaly unrelated article. The other squares such as "Happy Vally Protesters" and "Dogmatic Anti-Leninism" are also quite easy. read full story / add a comment

After a very productive publicity tour of England back in November we decided it was time to do some more outreach, this time to Scotland. This has been an important part of our work over the winter months. Its important that we make as many links as possible so we can show that this campaign is not isolated that its part of a worldwide struggle against capitalism, a struggle against the profits of big business always being put before the needs of communities. Also this report will feature my trip to the World Social Forum in Venezuela where I got to give a presentation on the Shell to Sea campaign. Apologies for not reporting on this sooner but things are very busy here. During the g8 we had made some good connections in Scotland especially with other protest camps. So on the 3rd of February 4 of us from the Rossport Solidarity Camp headed off to Scotland in our trusty transit van. read full story / add a comment

Some see religion as a disease of the mind. Richard Dawkins describes it as a malign virus of the mind spread through memes. But religion also spreads physical diseases and viruses. The article below might well prove to be an eyeopener for some.

Cabra residents are determined that Dublin City Council won't beat them on the Bin Tax after battling for over 5 years. The Cabra/Dunard/Navan Road Campaign against the Bin Tax have organised residents on any roads affected by non-collection to dump their own waste into the bin trucks. People are sick of the ever increasing stealth taxes being imposed on them and have chosen the double tax of the bin charges as an issue to take a stand. read full story / add a comment
