The Corporation explores the nature and spectacular rise of the dominant institution of our time. Part film and part movement. The Corporation is transforming audiences and dazzling critics with its insightful and compelling analysis. Taking its status as a legal “person” to the logical conclusion, the film puts the corporation on the psychiatrist’s couch to ask “What kind of person is it?” read full story / add a comment ![]()

IRMS security hired by shell, occupying the State owned site yet again, demonstrated their lack of concern for health and safety. Outside police pushed protesters off the road, while one halted lorry driver expressed his intentions to police that he would clear the road by driving into protestors. Later spirits were high as police did not even attempt to clear the road when over 15 protesters lay down to block a lorry, which had to be diverted. Later the police returned and used brute force to push people off the road. They hospitalized one protestor. read full story / add a comment ![]()

Renowned Portuguese Fado singer Ana Moura plans to perform in Israel on 27th January, in violation of the Palestinian call for a cultural boycott of the Israeli state. Before going to Israel, she will be playing in Dublin's National Concert Hall on Thursday 19th January. While welcoming Ms. Moura to Ireland, the IPSC will balance that welcome with a leafleting and demonstration against her indifference to the fate (= “fado”) of the Palestinian people. The demo will start at 8pm on Thursday 19th January at 7pm outside the National Concert Hall, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2. The IPSC issued the following letter to Ms. Moura, but have yet to receive any response: read full story / add a comment ![]()

The morning we would occupy the quarry headed by Lennon inc. (which is located about half an hour's drive away from rossport solidarity camp), began peacefully with few clouds in the sky and surprisingly, absolutely no wind, which I noticed as I walked by the still wind turbines planted beside the camp's communal kitchen and living room. read full story / add a comment ![]()

"I learned from William Singletary's wife, Jeannette, that he died this morning. Bill was a courageous man who lived fighting to make the truth known that Mumia is innocent in the shooting death of police officer Daniel Faulkner. For that Bill suffered severe personal and financial consequences. I've known Bill since June 1990 when he came forward with his eyewitness testimony for Mumia and as a witness at the PCRA hearing in 1995, when I was co-counsel for Mumia." -Rachel Wolkenstein

RNU have expressed dismay and concern at the sick antics of the Maghaberry administration who have again used the plight of seriously ill POW Tony Taylor to confuse and cause maximum distress to his wife and family. Yesterday afternoon, Tony (who suffers from injuries he sustained in an explosion in the early 90s), was taken from Maghaberry Gaol to an outside hospital after a severe infection caused his right arm to swell at an alarming rate. Tony who is on full dirty protest in Roe House, lost his spleen in the explosion and had his body peppered with shrapnel which is still present, this makes him vulnerable to infection as his immune system is particularly compromised. Infections if left untreated can lead to blood poisoning and in Tony’s case can prove fatal. read full story / add a comment ![]()

A Uachtaráin,
It is my assertion that the current government of the Irish Republic is attempting to initiate changes that will negatively impact the welfare of the people of Ireland. An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny T.D. is seeking to circumvent the initiation of a referendum by seeking to have a ruling from the Attorney General which will deny the people of Ireland our constitutional right to self determination which is also a principle of international law. I am hereby petitioning you with respect in your capacity as Uachtarán na hÉireann to invoke your powers under Article 27.5.1 to call a referendum on the ESM Treaty, a proposal I believe is of such national importance that the will of the people should be accordingly ascertained. Article 15.4.1° The Oireachtas shall not enact any law which is in any respect repugnant to this Constitution or any provision thereof. read full story / add a comment ![]()

Shell today began to cut down a Coillte plantation in the village of Leenamore, Co. Mayo. This surprise move marks the beginning of their attempts to prepare the 4km stretch of land between the Aughoose tunnelling compound and the Bellanaboy refinery. Despite a large Garda and private security presence, campaigners entered the tree felling area and halted work. read full story / add a comment ![]()
