Having been contacted by concerned individuals, many working in the airport. The wall mounted fish tanks on the ‘Street’ at Dublin Airport were again brought to our attention. In 2006 AFAR did a demo at Dublin Airport and as a result had SEAHORSES removed from the ESTEE LAUDER Crème de la Mer tanks after hearing many Seahorses had died due to lack of feeding and regular care. Now in 2009 the fish that had replaced the seahorses were suffering the same fate. read full story / add a comment ![]()

A man has been fined €1000 for organising a boycott of Israeli products; and the French appeals court and Council of Europe's European Court of Human Rights upheld this. read full story / add a comment ![]()

The vast range of Soya and plant based products in Irish supermarkets accommodating diets free of animal products is increasing rapidly. read full story / add a comment ![]()

Jarvey's in Killarney have had recent success after a row with the National Park and Wildlife services over them refusing to get dung-catchers attached to their horses, which saw them being prevented from entering the park. Following a strike and picket which began on Tuesday morning the 14/07/2009, the Jarvey's received an interim injunction after a high court hearing on Friday last, which has suspended the wearing of the dung-catchers and has seen the Jarvey's returning to work as normal. read full story / add a comment |
