A few things happened on 'Budget day', Minister Mc Dowell wasn't in the house
(at least for the analysis) - and why should he be? his very public campaign
to abolish Stamp Duty for first time buyers was ignored by the wealthy FF party.
That is humiliating now isn't it? Kyoto was ignored- indeed , hats off to Joan Burton
and her engaging quip-"he,Mnister in charge of climate change cannot even get the electoral

Last night Minister Mc Dowell informed the media that the Privacy and Defamation Bill
would not be going throught the Oireachtas together/in toto and that the Defamation
Bill, alone, was on the table at Seanad Eireann. He has to re-adjust and re-appraise
the 'Privacy' section- this was the section which criminalised 'certain forms' of
news-gathering. It had been criticised throughout Europe for 'reining' in the press. read full story / add a comment

Operation Condor backed by the USA & staffed by NAZI war criminals saw most of Latin America endure dictatorships. One of the worst was that which was set in motion on the 11th of September 1973 when Agosto Pinochet took power in Chile. He & those like him had to this because there was a serious possibility that Latin Americans would become Communists.

If they had become communists, people would have stopped believing in God.

Once God went, Heaven and Hell would have gone too.

In no time there would have been no need for a clergy or Church. Knock in Ireland would have been a waste of an airport. With Communism people would have lost faith in God & the threat of eternal Hell-fire & damnation would have been lost.

& so torture was a last resort of pious & holy people. They had no other choice to defend their God than attach electrodes to peoples' genitals & bury them in nameless graves.

Bengemin Disraeli said that there were three kinds of statistics- Lies, Lies, and damn Lies. The Irish Government has been manipulating statistics of late. So now we are told there were only 6 complaints made by peace activists about suspicious US aircraft at Shannon? There were at least 60 such complaints, many in writing and many more verbal. Shannon Gardai now claim that it is necessary to come to Shannon Garda station to make a complaint, otherwise they refuse to acknowledge it. So if your neighbout is being murdered, or raped, and you ring up to inform the gardai at Shannon will they ignore your call. The people of Iraq and Afghanistan are our neighbours. read full story / add a comment
