My dream began the other night when Joe Duffy - the legend, was on his way out of RTE studios - he said to Derek - I don't envy you Derek, believe me. This f........ insect has caused me and my Lifeline staff nightmares since last March. As we speak the Stroker Fahy is preparing for prison on Tuesday. His 97 year old mother is taking up residence in Galway with a far out cousin of Berties. Does anybody out there remember the Stroker McSweeney? This guy came in from America two years ago under Government approval - as Chief Advisor of Science and Environment to the Government. He turned out to be a Walter Mitty - the phd was created by no less than Podge and Rodge. This man was let go - I ask - Why was he not charged with Corruption too? read full story / add a comment

At 11:30 this morning, ten members of Cork Shell to Sea staged an occupation of Marathon Oil's Irish HQ in Mahon, Cork. Entry was swift, easy, and unforced. We were inside there for over half an hour before the Gardai arrived. A spirited and good-natured dialogue occurred between Cork S2S members and senior management at Marathon Oil.
