The recital by Trio Echnaton in the Pepper Canister Church, Upper Mount Street, Dublin, was presented by the Association of Music Lovers and the Goethe-Institute, Dublin, assisted by the Arts Council’s Small Festivals and Events Scheme. Speakers included Niav Keating of BODY, Mary Muldowney of Alliance for Choice, Goretti Horgan of SWP and NI Anti-Poverty Network, Anna Pas - Polish journalist working in Ireland and Orla O'Connor of National Women's Council. There is an exciting if rather belated anti-war initiative, being prepared here in Ireland, for Saint Patrick's Day. It was thought up by a member of the Derry Anti War Coalition, and has been put into action by an ad hoc group here in Derry but the idea is really striking a chord with everyone who hears about it. read full story / add a comment
