The SIPTU Boots organising committee met recently (Tues 23rd Nov) to access the progress that they have made over this past year, noting the surge in SIPTU membership and the huge interest in union activity amongst Boots workers. They also identified key issues of importance to workers and developed an effective plan for the year ahead. Political parties are not mentioned in the Constitution. A new campaign is currently being launched, with the aim of giving people a real alternative to the Fine Gael/Labour coalition that is on the cards - and returning true democracy to Ireland. Yesterday 23/11/10, Concerned Families Against Drugs was handed a substantial quantity of Cocaine and a dozen or so cultivated Cannabis plants (see photos) by a number of local people in the Ardoyne area.
