Civilian deaths have risen by 28% in Afghanistan, In Yemen and Pakistan Drone attacks increase, not just Al Qaeda and Taliban die, many civilians perish in these far from surgical strikes. Ironically the miltants killed by the US in Pakistan, Yemen and Afghanistan hold the exact same beliefs as the Jihadists backed by the US in Syria, Egypt and across North Africa. Even more bizarrely the US arm Jihadists in Iranian Baluchistan while they fight another branch of the same organisation in Pakistani Baluchistan! Did it ever cross the minds of the CIA that weapons supplied in Iran work just as well in Pakistan? In the US, Obama has signed into law the bill which continues the operation of the Guantanamo Bay prison camp and allows for indefinite Military internment without charge for US citizens. Time for the good news: The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg has awarded damages to a CIA torture victim who was subject to extraordinary rendition. ... read full story / add a comment ![]()

Wikipedia defines "Law-Fare" as: Lawfare is a recently coined word not yet appearing in the Oxford English Dictionary, a portmanteau of the words 'law' and 'warfare', said to describe a form of asymmetric warfare. Lawfare is asserted by some to be the illegitimate use of domestic or international law with the intention of damaging an opponent, winning a public relations victory, financially crippling an opponent, or tying up the opponent's time so that they cannot pursue other ventures It has recently become a staple in the Zio-Nazi attempts to stifle all criticism and any and all attempts to help Palestinians obtain their legal rights. ... read full story / add a comment

The New Zealand Labour Party wants the rebuild of Christchurch following massive and tragic earthquakes to be from the 'Grassroots up, not the Beehive down'. So far the rebuild has, in my view, involved a fanatical top-down bureaucratic/Corporate control. From the 'grassroots' reflects the global ethical human rights approach of our council which emphasizes a bottom-up development and a bottom-up democracy. PS. the Beehive is where parliament meets. ... read full story / add a comment ![]()

When standard military operations and bombing failed to defeat the Mau Mau insurgency of Kenya in the 50s, the British created gangs of friendly tribesmen, who were pretending to be terrorists. These "pseudo gangs," quickly threw the Mau Mau on the defensive by befriending, then ambushing, genuine freedom fighters or guiding the British to freedom fighter camps. What worked half-century ago is still undermining trust among today's resistance to British Occupation in Ireland. Forming fake republican groups, is a British speciality in Ireland today, practiced since 1971, when Kitson recruited 'turned' IRA members, nicknamed the 'Freds' operating undercover in Brigadier Kitson's area of responsibility. ... read full story / add a comment ![]()
