A Discussion of Female Participation in Student Politics

UCC Students' Union is holding a conference entitled "A Discussion of Female Participation in Student Politics" on Thursday the 20th of January from 5-8 in Devere Hall.

UCC Students' Union is holding a conference entitled "A Discussion of Female Participation in Student Politics" on Thursday the 20th of January from 5-8 in Devere Hall.

Speakers will include: Dr. Sandra McAvoy, Head of UCC Womens Studies, Kathy Pembroke USI Southern Area Officer, Fiona Buckley from the UCC Department of Government, Linda Kelly, two time USI Equality Officer and co-founder of Cork Feminista and Keith O'Brien UCC SU President as well other as past and present SU and USI officers.

The aim of the night is to create a discussion on what needs to be done to increase greater female participation in student politics as well as to ask questions and propose answers.
