Demonstration at City Hall against Sean MacDermott Street swimming pool closure

In December 2009, Dublin City Council announced that due to cutbacks in the budget there was no more funding available for the swimming pools in Sean McDermott Street, Coolock and Crumlin.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING WILL BE TAKING PLACE
MONDAY 14th JUNE 6pm

Sean McDermott Street is the only pool in the entire North inner city, which has a population in excess of 60,000 residents. Its closure would impact on all age groups, from the very young to senior citizens.
