Exploring local-global food issues in the community through art
Are you working in the community with a group of adults or young people?
Would you like to get involved in an exciting art awareness mini-project?
If so, you are invited to come to a half day workshop on March 15 to explore how what we eat affects our planet and its people. You will also learn and how to transform what you’ve learnt into a simple piece of art.
After the workshop, you will go back to your project, and pass on your learning to your participants, and get them to make their own art pieces on the theme of food.
All the art pieces made will be put together and will be exhibited in one or more of Dublin’s community gardens, and at the Latin America Week seminar on 24 April 2010.
This project will not cost you anything, and the art pieces will be made with simple recycled materials.
