Oppose cuts to mental health service

Universi, health branch of the Independent Workers Union is holding a Lunch time protest and street theatre
against cuts to mental health services in Belfast and use of private contractors

'Your havin a Laugh'

Universi, health branch of the Independent Workers Union is holding a

Lunch time protest
1.30pm sharp
Monday 14 December
Fairview Offices
(opposite Mater Hospital)
Crumlin Road

* Cuts to staffing in the Community Mental Health team for North and West Belfast?

* Plans to introduce a private company, Chill Blast, to replace staff with pre prepared meals for elderly patients suffering a range of mental health problems?

They're havin a laugh. It would be comic were it not so serious..

Catering and administration staff are among most vulnerable workers, so why are management making cuts beginning with the lowest paid? Why are the cutting services to patients in some of the most economically deprived areas of western Europe?

If these outrageous cuts go unchallenged they will move to next layer of workers.

On Monday the joke's on them. Please come along and support front line workers in the protest

WE WILL CONTINUE TO CHALLENGE ONGOING ATTACKS ON PATIENT AND WORKERS' RIGHTS

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE

Note: feel free to put attached A4 or A3 posters up in your workplace. Leaflets available on request

If you want to get involved in the street theatre happening along with the protest call the number below

see you there
