Limerick Protest - 5th November
As part of the ongoing campaign against cuts to the Community Sector, a protest march will be held on:
Thursday 5th November, The Mechanics Institute, Pery's Square, Limerick, 12 noon
The McCarthy report is nothing short of an all out attack against the Community Sector. Over 6000 jobs are threatened, not to mention the programmes and services they deliver in childcare, drug rehabilitation, elder care, disability services, community development to name a few.
SIPTU members and activists has been campaigning throughout the country to challenge these cuts. Now is the time for the south west to deliver a clear message to Government: YOU SAY CUT BACK - WE SAY FIGHT BACK.
We are calling on the entire community to support the day of action; to protect vital services and those who depend on them. Don’t let Government make children, the elderly and disadvantaged pay for the greed of bankers.
Assembly is at:
The Mechanics Institute
Pery's Square
